Important Dates & Deadlines

Students must pay special attention to the application deadlines for the selected off-campus program to which they are applying.


University of Lynchburg Short Term & Faculty- Led Programs

Faculty-Led Programs require students to pay the $250 non-refundable deposit, apply to the program, and complete the application forms by the deadlines listed. In addition to these steps, all students will have to complete the enrollment materials by the deadlines listed. In some cases, the deadlines to submit the Lynchburg Program Application forms for short-term and faculty-led programs vary according to each program. Program specific deadlines can be found on the program information page. Below are the general deadlines:


J-Term Deposit Deadlines: October 1

J-Term Application Forms Due: October 1

J-Term Enrollment Forms Due: November 1

J-Term Scholarship Application Deadline: October 15

Spring Break Deposit & Application Forms Due: December 1

Spring Break Enrollment Forms Due: January 1

Spring Break Scholarship Application Deadline: December 15

Summer Deposit & Application Forms Due: February 1

Summer Enrollment Forms Due: March 1 (unless otherwise stated)

Summer Scholarship Application Deadline: February 15


Exchange Programs

Lynchburg Exchange Programs (semester or year-long) require students to apply and complete the application forms by the deadline listed. In addition to these online forms, students will also complete the enrollment materials required by the study abroad office and exchange institution.


Third Party Programs

Lynchburg-Approved Third Party Programs (semester or year-long) require students to apply and complete the application forms by the deadline listed. In addition to these online forms, students will also complete the application and enrollment materials required by the program provider.



Program Acceptance

After successfully completing the application and paying the program deposit, students will be notified via email by CGE that they have been accepted to participate in the selected off-campus program. Instruction regarding the next steps in the enrollment process will be provided in the acceptance email. Students are encouraged to pay special attention to program deadlines and complete all required documentation as soon as possible. In the case that a student is not accepted to the program, after the initial application phase, then the program deposit may be refunded.
