Program Description

In this culturally immersive program, students will experience educational, professional, intellectual, and ethical growth through the transposition of cultural ideas and norms and hands-on experience offered by the program. A program that offers a non-Western cultural setting will help students further understand globalization and the growing interdependence among global economies and governments. India is set to surpass China as the world’s most populous country by 2022. The population increase will have significant economic, political, and cultural implications not only on India but on the global environment. An introduction to India’s culture, people, infrastructure, and educational setting will equip students with a first-hand knowledge of the world’s fastest growing major economy.

This program will be hosted by Lynchburg College's university partner institutions in India: Hindu College, Miranda House, and KIIT University; providing cultural immersive opportunities for students through meaningful interactions with local university students.
