What is Included: Estimated trip fee ($3400) may change due to fluctuating cost of airfare, foreign currency exchange rates, number of students enrolled in the trip.

The estimated trip fee ($3400) includes: international airfare; ground transportation; housing; breakfast daily; welcome dinner; farewell dinner; entry fees to program required sites; tour guides; 24 hour assistance; international insurance for medical emergencies, accidents, evacuation and repatriation.

$250 non-refundable deposit is required by the deadline listed on the left side of the page. The deposit is refundable only if the College cancels the trip.
What is not Included: Tuition, passport fees, visa application fees (if applicable), extra luggage fees (if exceeding airline allowance), trip insurance, some meals (see itinerary) while in-country and during travel to-and-from study abroad destinations, spending money of personal nature such as, but not limited, to phone service, laundry, souvenirs, bank transaction fees, etc.).

Tuition:
Tuition is billed separately. Per credit cost for 2017-18 is $510. Tuition fee for summer 2018 will be release late fall 2017. With the Experiential Learning Grant applied (50% off tuition), tuition for 6 credits for 2017 was $1,530.

Program Description

CRIM 377: Comparative Criminology
This course presents a comparative analysis of the various institutions and practices that the countries of Bolivia and the United States (US) have created to address crime and criminal law. The major components of both country’s criminal justice systems (law enforcement, courts and corrections) along with ancillary systems and services associated with criminal justice will be examined, compared and contrasted.

SPAN 201: Intermediate Spanish
Improve your Spanish language ability and fulfill your general education language requirement through this immersive study abroad program! Students will improve their ability to communicate in Spanish through coursework as well as through daily interactions with local Bolivians. Gain an appreciation of the beautiful, diverse culture of Bolivia and learn to effectively communicate in basic conversations and settings.
